The LFC Foundation celebrated its first inaugural Community Awards

The aim of the Community Awards is to champion our participants, volunteers and partners that demonstrate LFC Foundation’s and the club’s core values

On Thursday 7th July 2022, LFC Foundation invited guests of the award ceremony to Anfield stadium to celebrate all of their hard work and commitment to the charity over the past 12 months.

Special guest and former Red, Chris Kirkland presented the awards alongside our Head of Youth and Skills, Gemma Smith.

LFC Foundation, chief executive, Matt Parish, said: “I’m proud to have welcomed all of our community champions to Anfield to celebrate our community awards. In order to succeed, we need support from coaches and staff in classrooms, on football pitches, in community centres and workspaces; but also, from our participants and supporters who attend our programmes, and help us to fundraise and promote social action.”

Dignity: Staying true to yourself, treating people well and earning respect through honesty and integrity.

Unity: Believing in each other’s abilities and working to bring the best out of one another, whilst collaborating for the common good across our community.

Kicks Legend: Recognised for his volunteering work during PL Kicks sessions.

PL Primary Star: A dedicated and passionate teacher that champions the LFC Foundation and PL Primary Stars in their school

Community Supporter of the Year – The organisation that has supported the Foundation's mission through generosity and kindness.

Champion of the Year: An overall winner is decided from this season’s Champion of the Month winners.

Volunteer of the Year - This award is for volunteers that have supported the Foundation's mission demonstrating a high level of commitment, dedication, and passion.
