Big Red Summer activities are designed for people of all age groups to help improve both physical fitness and mental wellbeing through sport and open play. There will be a wide range of sports will be on offer to try, summer holiday camps, tournaments, and community events at LFC Foundation’s Community Hubs and other venues across Liverpool City Region, as well as Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

This year’s theme for Big Red Summer is sustainability and wellbeing, which fits with LFC’s The Red Way strategy, which encompasses the club’s ambition to making a positive difference to sustainability by focusing on its people, communities and the planet, by using its voice for good to help the next generations of Reds. To coincide with the theme an extra element of education on the importance of sustainability and plastic wastage will be delivered at all sessions.

We have over 200 free, accessible activities for families to enjoy the great outdoors together this summer in their local communities.

“We are delighted to be working alongside SC Johnson this year, and with their support we can reach more families to encourage them to get active to help improve both their physical and mental wellbeing, whilst also promoting the importance of sustainability for our future health.”
