Reds share new trophy with the local community

Excited pupils and community groups from across the city had the opportunity to see Liverpool’s newest trophy up close at Anfield Sports and Community Centre this week.

More than 600 invited guests had their pictures taken with the Carabao Cup, with further visits to come as part of the club’s community trophy tour.

After a record-breaking win at Wembley Stadium, Liverpool FC claimed their ninth League cup title by beating Chelsea 11-10 on penalties.

Forbes Duff, Red Neighbours’ senior manager, said: “It’s so important for us a club to share our success with our neighbours and local communities, who form an integral part of the LFC family. We hope that it brings an element of excitement and inspiration, and we look forward to bringing it with us on our future visits.”
