On Friday 11th February, the LFC Foundation's Premier League Primary Stars programme delivered a workshop to commemorate #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek

Both virtual and live Children’s Mental Health awareness workshops were delivered within our primary schools, where the Primary Stars and Mental Health teams joined forces.

In total, 35+ primary schools logged onto our virtual session, with over 1000 pupils in attendance; additionally, 6 primary schools and over 200 children attended the live workshop held in Anfield Stadium.

This years theme for #CMHW was 'growing together'.

The workshops involved exercise, art, drama, and skill building games all specifically designed by our Mental Health team to challenge young people to think about their mental health as well as have fun whilst learning.

The Children's Mental Health workshops explored a multitude of sub-themes, including:

  • What is Mental Health?
  • Developing Coping Strategies
  • How to Build Confidence
  • Breathing Exercises
  • Promising to be Nicer to Yourself

Thank you to everybody who attended both virtual and physical sessions, we hope they provded valuable and gave plenty of food for thought moving forwards.
