The new Advisory Board includes nine sector leaders from a wide range of fields, who will give their time and wealth of expertise generously to provide practical advice and guidance to the Foundation and support its continued drive to help even more people.
In addition to advising the Foundation’s chief executive, senior team and existing Board of Trustees, the Advisory Board will also provide their business acumen and knowledge on policies, procedures, strategic priorities, and the key issues and challenges faced by the communities that the Foundation supports.
Some members of the newly established LFC Foundation Advisory Board include, Director of Public Health for Liverpool, Matt Ashton, HM Inspector of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services, Andy Cooke, Labour MP (Wirral South) and Shadow Sport and Culture Minister, Alison McGovern, and Head of Player Engagement at Kick It Out, Troy Townsend to name a few.
The Advisory Board will be additional to the Foundation’s current Board of Trustees but will not be limited in size, due to not holding the same legal responsibility and governance required by the charity’s articles as the Board of Trustees.
Matt Parish, Chief Executive, LFC Foundation, said: “Establishing our new Advisory Board provides us with an amazing opportunity to harness further professional support, advice and guidance from a group of leaders and experts in their respective fields".
‘’The Foundation has had tremendous growth over the past three years and the new Advisory Board will ultimately support the Foundation team and Board of Trustees to help us to continuously improve our work and the service we offer our participants.’’
