Our programme is expanding and venturing overseas so together with our local Liverpool participants, we decided that a name change to GO PLAY! would explain perfectly what the programme is really all about.
The Foundation believe that play, fundamental movement and physical literacy is such an essential part of what we do and whilst we develop our already thriving football and wider sports offering, we wanted to ensure that GO PLAY! is differentiated for our families and participants who love the programme so much.
Alongside going global, we’re expanding into new ventures across Liverpool, including our new partnerships with community centres around the region from Bootle to Toxteth. For more information on our new Community Wellbeing Hubs click here.
The aim of the programme remains completely the same – we’re providing our families and our wider communities with fully inclusive, accessible and free, games and activities for the whole family. GO PLAY! is here to support and create safer spaces in our communities and to encourage families to get out and use their local green spaces.
The GO PLAY! team can’t wait to start delivering again, which is why we’ve announced a range of virtual sessions beginning on Saturday the 16th January, so whilst we physically can’t be together in our parks, we can still keep our community alive online.
