What’s going on with #iwill!? This week’s activities with #iwill... (18/12/2020)

LFC Foundation's social action project i will

Welcome to our #iwill weekly wrap up! Here you will find all the latest information on LFC Foundation’s #iwill campaign with local schools, organisations and youth groups.

#iwill is all about the Power of Youth.

In partnership, we aim to give our youth the opportunity to use their voice and to engage in real life social action and change.

Our goals are to; empower the next generation, to have their voices heard, to instil positive change in our communities and beyond and to be the trailblazers of Social Action!

Together, we’re stronger!

It’s nearly Christmas, but that didn't mean our schools slowed down on their social actio projects - we love seeing our young people doing things for the greater good!

Here is an array of highlights from the week.

Fundraising for animals in need

The children from our virtual sessions at St Peter’s and Pauls have done an amazing job raising £170 for Carla Lane Animals In Need. Well done to everyone involved – the money will make such a massive difference!

Helping our community organisations

Thanks to Jake, one of our iwill coordinators, who visited Love Wavertree with £70 raised by Lawrence Road Primary as part of their social action project! A wonderful initiative. Love Wavertree are a community campaign focused on positive action in their local area.

Primary Stars take on Social Action

Year 4 at Faith Primary created 15 goodie bags for young people who live in poverty – this week they were donating the bags to a woman’s refuge to provide a little bit of Christmas joy. This was a cross collaboration between our Primary Stars and iwill programme – it's great to see how everyone can get involved in social action!

Don’t be a litter bug!

Year 6 at Faith Primary have been tackling Anti Social Behaviour as part of their social action project. They created an awareness video explaining what ASB is and how you can do you part and they even went out into their local park to litter pick. Good job team!

We love hearing updates from the schools involved in our #iwill social action projects. LFC Foundation believe in the Power of Youth and that young people have the talent, energy and ideas to create real, positive and forceful change in the world.

Here’s to 2021 where we will continue to champion youth social action!
