Four hundred and fifty children from local schools across the city have been invited to the stadium on Tuesday February 11 to learn about internet safety and its importance by taking part in a range of engaging activities.
A Reds first-team player and an LFC ambassador are scheduled to be present at the event to meet the attendees and discuss the importance of using digital technology safely and positively.
Forbes Duff, the club’s corporate social responsibility senior manager, said: “We are delighted to be supporting Safer Internet Day 2020.
“It’s important for us to connect with young people to discuss the importance of being safe online, how to maximise the many benefits of the internet and use it as a positive tool for good.
“Now in its fifth year, our Safer Internet Day event at Anfield is the biggest in the UK, which is something we are very proud of.”
