After mind-mapping ideas through classroom activities on how their school can help to reduce environmental waste, pupils from Year 5 then wrote and performed an outstanding assembly to the whole school, highlighting the negative impact and effects all types of pollution have on our environment!
The group then wrote personal letters to school leaders explaining the need to as a school collectively reduce their environmental footprint, requesting recycling bins and an objective to go green. The pupils hope that their stance on reducing environmental pollution will encourage others in their school to take up social action.
